The installation in studio 155 in Münster was conceived together with Bea Otto.
The works from the cycle “faults and folds” were created from liquid clay and fabric. During the firing process, the fabric disappears, leaving behind the solidified form, whichshows clear traces of the process and the respective fabric. Various blue glazes envelop these surfaces and vitrify them, so to speak. The resulting sculptures form strange hybrid shapes, are both shell and body, solidified liquid – frozen time. On the floor there lies a tiny cylindrical, light gray body: “residue # 1”, which is a random leftover from the sculptural process and part of an ongoing collection of residues.
